This is a great toy and children love to play with it, but it is definitely hard to assemble. If you are giving it for a gift to a child, assemble it first and don’t try to assemble it at the last minute or the night before. Would estimate it takes a reasonably mechanically competent adult at least an hour to put together, so be ready. The pieces do not just easily pop together like the directions say. From a child’s educational point of view, this toy will remind children of the importance of physical activity and physical fitness, while children are imagining they are playing at the gym. Once the gym is assembled, it is an excellent toy that looks good and provides many ways to play and endless ways to pretend and imagine.
