Grande JetÃ©: A ballet term used to describe a split leap, a large jump that is done from one foot to the other. It can be done either fermÃ© (closed) or ouverte (open); there are many forms of grand jetÃ© such as: grand jetÃ© attitude croisÃ© en arriÃ©re (large jump on the diagonal with one leg extended forward and the other leg extended to the back, slightly bent at the knees).
