GymnasticsZone’s Top 2 Gymnastics Summer Camp Recommendations

Our top 2 gymnastics summer camp recommendations are John Geddart’s Twistars Summer Camp and Jack Carter’s Elite Team Training Summer Camp. We are recommending those two camps for some of the exact same reasons and for some completely opposite reasons.

Twistars Summer Camp

The Twistars Summer Camp, run by John Geddart, home of 2011 World Champion, Jordyn Wieber, will be going on during training for the World Championships. This is a rare opportunity to see the actual training that goes into creating an Olympic Champion or world Champion, first hand.

Carter’s Elite Team Training Summer Camp

This year, Jack Carter’s Elite Team Training Summer Camp is a chance for gymnasts to experience an intense Elite level team training program, but where the coaches will not be focusing all their time, energy and attention preparing one of their gymnasts for this year’s Olympics. Jack Carter is the coach of Olympic medalist, Kristen Maloney, and numerous other International Elites, US National Team Members and TOPS winners.

Very Reasonable Prices

Both camps are reasonably priced. John Geddart’s Twistars Summer Camp is only $440 for 4 days for overnight campers and $350 for day campers. Jack Carter’s Elite Team Training Summer Camp is only $425 per week (5 days) for day campers. Compared to the commercial gymnastics summer camps, both of these camps are a real bargain.

Sign Up NOW

Both camps have very limited space, but both, as of this post, still have openings. You would be well advised to sign up immediately.

Jack Carter’s Elite Team Training Summer Camp

At this camp, gymnasts train two or three sessions per day (morning, afternoon and non-mandatory evening session) for a 5-day week, with Olympic and Elite level coaches, Jack and Erin Carter. Summer camp attendees will train along side of current Elite gymnasts and JO National athletes. These are the same intense, proven gymnastics Elite training systems, used to train Olympians, International Elites, TOPs winners and National Team Members.

John Geddart’s Twistars Summer Camp

The Twistars Summer Camp Staff features our nationally recognized coaches, John and Kathyrn Geddart, along with several nationally known clinicians, including college coaches. Emphasis is on proper skill progressions, strength and flexibility training and development, championship attitudes and what it takes to achieve success in the highest levels of gymnastics. The camp training lasts 5-6 hours per day for the 4-day period.

Why Are We Recommending These Two Summer Camps?

John Geddart’s Twistars Summer Camp will provide a rare opportunity to view the type of training that can create an Olympic All-Around competitor. Other camps, like WOGA and Chow’s, that also have Olympic contenders, will likely be more focused on training their own gymnasts. Jack Carter, coach of Olympic medalist, Kristen Maloney, Elite Team Training Summer Camp is one of the most technically knowledgeable gymnastics coaches in the country and will be working directly with the campers.
