UnZipping Instructions for
Downloaded e-Books and Reports

We apologize for not including unzipping instructions in our download email. The automatic download program we use has an email  file size limitation that  did not allow sufficient room to include all the unzip information.

SUMMARY
Zip (.zip) files are files that are compressed to decrease the total file size. Files are compressed to reduce the amount of disk space needed for storage, to reduce download times so it will download more quickly, and so on. Note that after you obtain a .zip file, to view or use the contents of the .zip file, you must uncompress (unzip) it.

If you have any Windows computer made in the last ten years (98 Plus, ME, XP or Vista), it will likely already have a built in program to unzip the files.

UnZip Instructions
1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
2. In Windows Explorer, right-click the .zip file, and then click Extract.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the unzipping process.

Alternate Method to UnZip e-Books
Just after downloading the zipped floder, you can unzip all the files with a right click on the downloaded zip file and then click on Extract All.  This will extract all of the files into the same file folder in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel file formats and you will see the e-Book's Table of Contents with all of the links to the rest of the e-Book files, which are stored in the Bin file.

Please Note: You need to be sure that you unzip all of the files, including the ones in the Bin folder and not just the e-Book Table of Contents file.  Otherwise, the links from the Table of Contents will not work and you will not be able to open any of the linked chapters or documents.

Also Note: All of the unzipped files must be in the same folder in order for the links in the Word document to work.  This actually happens automatically if you unzip the entire downloaded zip folder by right clicking on the downloaded zip file and then clicking on Extract All.

If you have a Mac computer, apparently just double clicking on the downloaded zip file should perform the unzipping process into the same folder.

Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 98, and Windows 95 do not include the ability to uncompress a .zip file. However, Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and Plus! 98 includes this capability. Also, there are many different third-party tools you can use to unzip files.

If you have a windows computer that does not have WinZip installed and intact, there are a number of FREE programs available, like

JustZIPit available at: http://free-backup.info/justzipit.html

FREE unzip programs for the Mac are also available. StuffIt Expander is a FREE tool to expand compressed or encoded files! Note: the download of this free program, StuffIt Expander, comes bundled with StuffIt Standard, which is not free). It is available at:
http://my.smithmicro.com/win/stuffitexpander/index.html

We hope this solves your unzipping  problems  If not email us and we can email you an unzipped e-book (this will take longer to download, but you will not have to unzip it..
