Responsibilities
Build Strong Gymnastics Basics
Our basic premise is that a high level of tumbling and acrobatic
skills utilizing correct technique is developed first and then transferred
back to all the gymnastics events. Strength and flexibility, bar
skills, and choreography are the other prime ingredients.
High Expectations Not Imprecations
The gym's coaching style of training is daily step by step progress
at each individual's own rate. High expectations but not high pressure.
Teach Them Everything You Know
The gym's system of training would be better classified as encyclopedic
- teach them everything rather than the same skills over and over or a
just a few specific skills.
Closely Coach All Aspects of Practice
Closely monitor warm-ups and conditioning. Practice begins
on time and with warm-ups. It is part of your job to be coaching
during them.
Encourage Gymnasts in Building their Strength
Encourage gymnasts to improve and excel at strength and conditioning
by praising hard work, recognition of accomplishments and the setting of
personal and gym records. Post gym strength and conditioning records.
