We
sincerely regret that we have to cancel our planned summer camps for Summer
2008.
Carter's Gymnastics Academy
(where we host our camps) is moving to a brand new custom designed facility,
but due to construction delay and the subsequent conflicting timing of
our move, we are forced to cancel camps for this summer.
The original move in date
was supposed to be May 1, 2008, but the gym is now scheduled to be finished
by "Julyish" - a term we had never heard before and that gives no real
ability to plan the move and camps. We would be unable to guarantee
that when the camp dates arrive this summer that we would not be in the
middle of a move and/or that the gym equipment would be set up and the
pits full by the camp date. We don't even know that we will be in
the gym before school starts (it starts in August in AZ).
We had great plans for our
camp this summer. Personally, I have been working toward becoming
the world's foremost gymnastics sports hypnotist and was looking forward
to sharing some amazingly successful new sport hypnosis psychology strategies
with the camp participants.
We are very much committed
to a policy of underpromising and overdelivering to our customers and in
this case we might not have been able to deliver at all. Even a small
risk of this is unacceptable to us and we have decided to do the right
thing for our customers and give up any profits we might have made from
summer camps for this year and avoid the possibility of disappointing gymnasts
and parents later in the summer.
We are planning to run a camp
in the new facility between Christmas and New Years, but we will not make
final plans until we are already in the new facility.
Again, we apologize for any
inconvenience our camp cancellation may have caused for you even though
we had no control over the construction problems. We hope to see
your gymnast at one of our future camps or clinics. Again, we apologize
for the inconvenience that this causes you but the circumstances are beyond
our control.

Unique Gymnastics Training Camp
Do You Want Camp or Elite Gymnastics Training?
Most gymnastics camps are just that – summer camps. Go for a
week, meet and work with some gymnasts at your own level, be coached by
some college coaches, club coaches or college gymnasts, do some arts
and crafts, etc - in general, a nice social, summer camp experience.
Read our article about commercial gymnastics summer camps.
Like a National Level Training Camp
Our Gymnastics Camp is a training camp experience. National gymnastics
team members attend training camps before they go to compete at the Olympics
or World Championships. TOP qualifiers attend a training camp as
a reward for scoring the highest. Our Gymnastics Training Camp is
that kind of training camp. We know because we’ve been there.
Acquire New Skills
Summer is the best time for gymnasts to learn and acquire new skills,
when they are not tired from a full day in school and there are no competitions
(except Elite meets) to prepare for. Our gymnasts will be in the
gym
acquiring their new skills for next year and everyone who attends the training
camp will be doing the same for the weeks they are there.
Train for the Next Level
Ordinarily our gymnasts move up at least one USAG Level every year
and the skill acquisition base for that comes during the summer.
Since camp gymnasts are not working our with us for the entire summer,
we can’t make that guarantee, but we do guarantee every gymnast who attends
camp will get the same training that our gymnasts do while they are there.
Innovative Training
We can guarantee that you will train like you have never trained before.
Yes, we do all the basic training progressions that everyone else does.
But we also use the same training methods that have produced a U.S. Olympic
and World Championship team member. We also use all of the very innovative
training methods that those of you who have read our series of gymnastics
training books are already acquainted with. Every day you will
be coached by two Olympic level coaches and the author of some of the newest
most innovative training gymnastics methods and a dozen gymnastics e-books.
What Kind of Innovative Gymnastics Training
Will You Be Doing at our Gymnastics Training
Camp?
A Different Training Experience
So our training camp is very different from the normal, commercial,
gymnastics summer camps. This is not a summer camp experience, this
is an Elite training camp program experience. It is for gymnasts
who want to train seriously at a high level and learn how gymnasts train
to be an Elite
